The Don Papa Rum is made by the Bleeding Heart Rum Company, which operates on the southern island of Negros located in the Philippines. The country's number one rum is aged for 7 years in American oak barrels and is made from the world's best-quality sugarcane. The name Don Papa was inspired by Papa Isio, who during the uprising against the Spanish led the island to independence, before they joined the main movement. In its sweet flavour profile the caramel and vanilla dominate. It is mostly mixed with cocktails, but consumed on its own it also provides a pleasant experience.
