Its singularity lies in the fact that the wine was kept on its lees for many years and disgorged only just before bottling, preserving exceptional freshness and complexity.
The 1988 vintage offered cool, balanced ripening, lending the Champagne refined acidity, deep aromatic complexity and long ageing potential. On the nose, ripe yellow fruits, honey, brioche, hazelnut and fine mineral notes appear, while the palate is rich, layered and silky-textured, with an exceptionally long, harmonious finish.
