The Admiral Cask Premium Panama Rum is an excellent rum in a cask-shaped gift bottle, which has a sweet and pleasant aroma, with its flavour rich in vanilla and honey notes. It is matured in oak cask for at least 5 years, and is dedicated to Admiral Lord Nelson. According to legend, when the beloved British admiral, Nelson, was shot by a French sniper in 1805, in the battle of Trafalgar, the classic sea burial had just been banned. The body had to be transported back to the mainland, to be buried with full honours. The sailors put the body in a cask of rum, so that it would survive the journey to the mainland. But there was no rum left in the cask when it arrived. It turned out that the sailors had drilled the cask, and secretly drunk it. In England to this day they say: "Let's tap an admiral".
