Charles Heidsieck 1983 la Collection Crayeres (0,75L 12%)
The Charles Heidsieck House has managed to collect the title of "Sparkling Wine Producer of the Year" 12 times in 20 years, which is no small feat. 60/40/10: this is the exceptional equation that makes Charles Heidsieck Brut Réserve Champagne Magnum a truly special edition of the house. The number 60 indicates that Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir are blended in equal proportions from 60 different crus. To obtain a very complex Champagne, 40% reserve wines are used, which are aged for an average of 10 years — exceptional even in the Champagne region. These wines can be classified into two categories: the 5-10 year wines are added to achieve fruitiness and freshness, while the 10-20 year reserve wines are included in this exceptional Champagne for intensity and complexity. Thanks to the slow and long pit ageing, we get perfectly controlled bubbles, with a brilliant golden color. The Charles Heidsieck Brut Réserve Champagne Magnum is a perfect companion to celebrations and special occasions.
