Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs 1990 (0,75L 12,5%)
The Ruinart house's iconic prestige cuvée, made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes. The 1990 vintage is one of the most successful Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs, famous for its elegance, refinement and ageing potential.
The wine's color is golden, with a shade slightly tending toward amber, with fine, long-lasting bubbles. The nose is rich and complex: ripe yellow fruits (peach, pear, candied citrus peel), brioche, almond, toasted hazelnut and honey. Fine mushroom and mineral tones also appear, deriving from the ageing.
On tasting it is full and creamy, while having vibrant acids and lively minerality. The freshness given by Chardonnay and the depth deriving from age are in perfect accord. The finish is long, elegant, with mildly honeyed, nutty and saline-mineral notes.
