Charles Heidsieck Brut Rosé 2006 Champagne (0,75L 12%)
Color and appearance
An elegant, light pink Champagne in which peachy and orange shades gleam. Its fine, long-lasting bubbles show the refinement characteristic of the house's style.
Aroma
Intense, fruity aromas open: alongside raspberry, peach and candied fruits, spicy notes such as cinnamon, cardamom and pink praline.
Flavor profile
Rich, silky texture in which ripe fruits — plum, raspberry, cherry — mix with fine spices. The added red wine portion lends depth, enriching the sip with jammy and spicy notes.
Structure and ageing
Made from a blend of approximately 37% Chardonnay and 63% Pinot Noir, of which 8% is red wine. The Champagne consists of the harvest of several excellent Grand and Premier Cru vineyards. After disgorgement it underwent long ageing, which lends it complexity and refined harmony. Alcohol: approx. 12%.
Aftertaste
Long, fruity-spicy finish in which fine tones of blackberry tea, cherry, fig and pink pepper are perceptible.
Recommended drinking
Served at 9-11 °C, it shows its finest face. An excellent companion to seafood, sushi and sashimi, but it also pairs well with grilled salmon or elegant desserts.
