Armand de Brignac Demi-Sec Champagne (Velvet bag) (0.75L 12,5%)
Every Armand de Brignac creation is in its own way an inspiring and unique work of art. The Demi-Sec is a wonderful cuvée of the brand's finest wines. The Champagne was for a long time served only to the staff and guests of the Cattier House. Now, however, the wine can be enjoyed even outside the picturesque town of Chigny-les-Roses, although in limited stocks of a few thousand bottles, so it is a true curiosity if one can get hold of such a bottle. The base of the Armand de Brignac Demi-Sec cuvée is given by several vintages, made using 2007, 2008 and 2009 vintage wine. The wine is composed of a blend of 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Meunier, and ages for five years. With a higher sugar content of 34 grams per liter, the Champagne offers a new form of expression for the brand's sparkling-wine styles. The Demi-Sec Champagne is characterized by a first-class explosion of aromas, which begins in the nose with notes of brioche, quince, caramel, grapefruit, Christmas-tree-candy and compote. In flavor, rich notes of blackcurrant, blueberry, milk chocolate and citrus fruits appear, leading to a soft and pleasant finish that crowns the Champagne brilliantly with a pinch of cinnamon. True to the brand's traditions, Armand de Brignac Demi-Sec comes to market in an exclusive purple-clad bottle with a metal label. An absolute must-have piece for every true Champagne collector!
