The Casamigos enterprise is in the ownership of the actor George Clooney. Although the brand itself is new, the actor has in many places stated that for the production he gathered together truly old and expert specialists. The anejo version, in the manner preferred by the producer, distilled slowly and after a much longer roasting, gets into the barrels. In the American oak barrels it then matures for 14 months. The result is a tequila with a marked flavour world, but still not harsh, indeed rather softer, more refined, slightly sweeter than usual.
