Why exactly El Profesor? Because the father of Aman Tequila, Gerardo Madrigal, is a mathematics professor, who, driven by his passion, became a tequilero, and fell in love with the craft of tequila-making! He did not set up sly equations for making the best possible tequila, rather he followed the old traditions, and spices up the well-proven recipes with one or two innovative twists, to show that in the world of tequila too one can say something new, that is, two plus two can indeed sometimes be five! The Blue Weber agave used for making the Aman tequilas is grown in Nayarit, on the family land of Professor Gerardo, somewhere in the Mexican wilderness. Around Jalisco, where the world's best tequilas are born! The Aman Anejo El Profesor Tequila stands out from the mass of tequilas in terms of its packaging: its eye-mesmerising form world makes an extra elegant impression on one. This is the only Rose Gold gradient-metallised tequila bottle in the world. The form leading of the modern bottle by the way refers to the Coa, that sharp cutting tool with which the jimadors, the skilled masters of agave harvest, cut off the excess from the agave plant in the hot fields, to grab the gold-equivalent essence, the wonderful pina, from which all the wonder of every tequila springs. The visually captivating bottle was inspired by the wildness and elegant radiance of nature, with stylised pointed agave forms and contemporary, slender design. The bottle is really like a true work of art, which we can proudly show to aesthetically receptive tequila lovers. The line leading of the glass mostly looks like a sculptural creation, the vertical form emphasises the innovative metallic-shining gradient on the side of the bottle. So already the exterior is not everyday, and then there is the inner value too: with turmeric, yuzu, agave and saffron complexity... The Aman Anejo El Profesor Tequila is tinglingly amazing, and the presence of the baking spices mixes excitingly with the sweetness of the agave in this instructively perfect tequila. The aged tequila represents higher quality, more stylish flavour, than the Blanco or Oro versions! It is worth acquiring therefore a mature tequila that unfolds its flavours in the cask - the Aman Anejo El Profesor Tequila! A golden, straw-coloured flashing tequila is the Aman Anejo, it lines up the army of unusual flavours from yuzu peel through the flavour of saffron all the way to turmeric. The bottle is like the Coa cutting tool - this is the most important member of the jimadors' toolkit, because it frees the agave plant of the excess, so that it can transform into vigorous tequila. Everything begins when the most mouth-watering-tequila-flavour-giving Blue Weber agave becomes "jimado": the skilled jimadors cut off the gigantic leaves from the plant, so that only the heart remains. The Coa cutting tool brings to the surface a sweet pina, which is the base of the tequila. The "anejo" expression indicates that a cask-aged, wonderful tequila hides in the bottle. It rests for at least 12 long months, usually in a Bourbon cask, but there are anejos which are aged even up to 3 years in the bellies of the casks. This is an atmosphere-creating, mature tequila. It is best to sip together with a quality cigar in the sunset, beside the blazing fire... As if we were one of the tough-built jimadors preparing for the harvest of the agave!
