The A.De Fussigny distillery is counted among the most significant French distilleries. The proximity of the Charente river is what makes the cognacs truly special. Before we even speak of the aroma of this XO cognac, we have to understand the meaning of the XO abbreviation. XO means Extra Old, which means that the youngest component of the drink is at least 6, but on average 20, perhaps more years old. From 2016 with the entry into force of the new rule only cognacs of minimum 10 years can be labelled with the XO designation.
