This sophisticated dry Rosé is named after the owner's eldest daughter, Jessica Lee. The wine is characterised by its crisp style and fruity palate. The Jess displays fresh strawberry, cranberry and watermelon fruit, floral notes and a smooth finish. Blend of 74% Pinotage, 26% Shiraz

The Newton Johnson family produced its first Roséin this dry style back in 1998. The few wines that were available in this category at the time were either off-dry or semi-sweet , and our goal was to produce a classy rose that was appetising and fresh with marked acidity and enough flavour to pair well with food. Both the Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc grapes are hand sorted , destemmed and crushed. The Syrah is left untouched on the skins over roughly a 24 hour period to draw the characteristically bright , salmon-pink colour. The grapes are drained and pressed by gravity to stainless steel tanks and settled at low temperatures. The clear juice drawn "is off for fermentation at temperatures between 11 and 13 degreeC until dry. 74% Syrah and 26% Sauvignon Blanc"

Goat cheese has a tangy flavor that pairs well with wines that are bright and pleasantly acidic. Soft goat cheese pairs best with rose, but you can also experiment with aged varieties. Also the perfect wine with brunch, picnics, appetizers or barbeques
